LPAT Test Content
The LPAT covers the abilities which are most needed to work as an applications programmer or analyst:
- Reasoning and Problem Solving
- Numerical and Logical Analysis
- Using and Analyzing Written documents
It rigorously tests these essential areas by using questions with the look and feel of programming. The test includes nine different types of questions. Test takers are asked to:
- Determine what information is relevant to a particular problem
- Use diagrams
- Change ideas into formulas
- Follow logical rules, and analyze problems
- Learn and use pattern matching rules
- Understand written assignments
- Understand and use basic business English
